Microsulis exhibit at AAGL in Las Vegas

The groundbreaking General Session, entitled: “Film and Medicine: Entertainment and Technology fromYesterday to the Future”, will trace the development and future of film and its partnership with medicine. You will be able to see some of the first medical films ever made and they will leave you with a lasting impression. It is a true privilege to be reminded how far we have come in the surgical treatment of our patients. It is my pleasure to announce that Dr. Brian Cohen will serve as this conference’s Honorary ProgramChair. Dr. Cohen will share with us the wealth of his endoscopy and life experience. Plan to attend the Honorary Luncheon to recognize his accomplishments and contributions to our field of practice. The scientific program is packed with activities. The AAGL will offer two full days of post-graduate courses, with intensive hands-on training. There will be two hands-on laparoscopic suturing courses and a hands-on hysteroscopy course, all on pelvic trainers. Responding to requests of many AAGL members, for the first time we will offer a post-graduate course in cosmetic gynecology. There will be three additional hands-on cadaver courses - in anatomic dissection, gyn-oncology and uro-gynecology. The scientific program will further offer eleven video sessions, eight surgical tutorials and three debates on (1) robotic surgery; (2) hysterectomy v. ablation for treatment of bleeding; and (3) intramural fibroidsand infertility. Please note that, for the first time, AAGL will offer two live tele-surgery sessions – one on Friday, October 31, and one on Saturday, November 1. Throughout the meeting AAGL members will present high quality scientific studies, videos and posters, which were meticulously selected from hundredsof abstracts that we have received for the program. This year’s scientific program will once again feature popular surgical tutorials, allowing attendees to interact with premier endoscopic surgeons in a classroom setting. Debates and panels will critically examine controversies and innovations regarding robotic surgery, myomas, uterine artery embolization, the role of pelvic mesh for pelvic floor reconstruction, infertility, endometriosis, to name just a few topics of interest. A special clinical researchers’ forum has also been organized for your convenience.

As always, the 37th AAGL annual meeting will offer a variety of scientific activities and we look forward to a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas for the ultimate benefit of our patients worldwide.

Come visit us at booth number 340.
